Kia Introduces the All-New 2022 Carnival

We at Landers Kia are constantly impressed with the technology and innovation of Kia Motors. Despite the many roadblocks and delays from the COVID-19 pandemic, Kia has been hard at work creating a revolutionary new vehicle for today’s families: the All-New 2022 Carnival!
For the past 40 years, larger families have had the choice between the minivan and the SUV. The minivan has function, practicality and is generally more economical than the average SUV, while the typical SUV has cool styling, capability and handling. Kia noticed this gap in the market and decided to create a new type of vehicle entirely: the multi-purpose vehicle.
The all-new 2022 Kia Carnival is the first of its kind and fills the gap between the functional family hauler and the sporty, hip SUV. Designed in Kia’s California design studio, the new Carnival has a “bold and boxy” appearance inspired by Kia’s rugged utility vehicles and features Kia’s signature tiger-nosed grille, LED headlamps, and rear skid plate garnish and reflectors for an SUV-inspired look like that of the Kia Telluride. To complete the look, the new Carnival proudly wears Kia’s new brand logo on the front fascia.
Inside, the three-row Carnival offers seating for up to eight passengers and delivers best-in-class cargo room AND best-in-class passenger room, ensuring you have plenty of room for the family, packages, groceries, toys and whatever else you’re hauling in your day-to-day life! For the most comfortable cabin experience, the Carnival offers “Slide-Flex” seating with multiple configurations including a sliding second row center seat that allows front-seat passengers to easily access the baby or child riding in it. This seat also converts into a functional table on the fly for road-trip games or meals. If you’re seeking an elevated riding experience, the available heated and ventilated VIP Lounge Seating provides second-road passengers with the most comfortable seating with wing-out headrests and leg extensions.
The Carnival is powered by the 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity — plenty of muscle to tow a trailer, boat or camper! This SUV-like power is combined with the advanced safety features commonly offered on family-focused minivans. The roster of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems on the Carnival includes:
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
- Blind-Spot Avoidance Assist
- Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist
- Parking Distance Warning-Reverse
- Lane Keeping Assist System with Lane Following Assist
- High Beam Assist
Of course, the new Carnival wouldn’t be a Kia without the innovative technology and entertainment features the manufacturer is known for! The Carnival offers a great lineup of standard and available features, including:
- Standard 8-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Wireless smartphone charging
- 3-inch navigation display
- 3-inch full-digital instrument cluster
- Multi-Bluetooth connectivity and two 110-volt power inverters
- Up to nine USB ports for all three ro
- And more!
We can’t wait for the new 2022 Carnival to arrive on our lot at Landers Kia in Little Rock! Until then, make sure to stay tuned on our blog, Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date on the latest Kia news!
