Halloween Movies in the Pocket Park: Oct. 28, 7 p.m.
While the first movie was Hocus Pocus earlier this month, the Arkansas Cinema Society is sponsoring this free outdoor movie experience on October 28th. This event will help kick off Halloween weekend! Bring your own seat and enjoy a festive Halloween movie at Downtown Little Rock’s pocket park! Check out their event page for more.
Whimsy Halloween Weekend Bash: Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to Oct. 30, 5 p.m.
This weekend event takes place at Whimsy Cookie Co. in Little Rock, though a large majority takes place over social media. Friday includes a scavenger hunt, and Whimsy encourages the participants to post their findings using #whimsyhalloweenscavengerhunt. The weekend includes a $30 gift card giveaway and free goodie bags and cookies to any child who shows up in their costume. Check out their event page for more information!
Harleyween Grill & Chill, Trunk or Treat: Oct 30, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Start your trick or treating a day early. Dress up in your costume and bring the family to enjoy free burgers, hotdogs, and candy! After you have lunch and hang out for a bit, here’s what else you can get up to.
Halloween Photography Meetup: Oct 30, 3-5 p.m.
Have you been looking for a class to help you hone your photography skills? The Little Rock Photography Group is a great place to start. They have a two-hour class on October 30th to help amateur and casual photographers learn how to take pictures during this spooky season. The class will be held outside at the Old Mill in North Little Rock. Spaces are limited, so book your spot now!
Halloween Costume Contest with The Rep: Oct. 30, 11 a.m.
Join Harvestfest and check out The Rep’s booth in front of U.S. Pizza. Everyone is welcome to join the costume contest between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with the winner being announced at 2 p.m. There’s no age limit, but those who dress in Charlie Brown and Peanut-themed costumes may be able to participate in extra categories. Some general costume categories include: cutest, spookiest, Peanuts-themed, fur-babies, creative, overall, etc.
Halloween Boo Bash: Oct. 30, 2-4 p.m.
Walk around Park Plaza mall for a safe trick or treating environment, while also enjoying free face painting, treat bags, and DJ entertainment! Check out their Facebook event page for more information.
Early November Events
Nights of Lights 2021: Nov. 4, 5-7 p.m.
This candle lighting service is in honor of those affected by Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s Arkansas hopes to raise awareness for all of the lives touched, both patients and families. Lanterns can be purchased for those who go in person and for those unable to attend. The lighting service will be held at Bernice Gardens in the Soma neighborhood of Downtown Little Rock.
The Dinner Detective: Nov. 6th, 6-9 p.m.
This murder mystery includes dinner and a show at the Hilton Garden Inn. Tickets can either put you in general admission or make yourself part of the suspect lineup for the comedy-mystery show. Can you find the actual culprit before you finish your meal?
Virtual Big Green Egg Cooking Class on the Perfect Turkey: Nov. 11, 5:45 p.m.
This free cooking class will take place over Facebook Live! Follow David Townley, master Big Green Egg chef, share tips and tricks on cooking the perfect turkey! Check out their Facebook event page.
