Get Your Kia Ready for Spring at Landers Kia

March 8th, 2021 by

Spring has finally arrived in Arkansas, and that means we’ll soon be hit with plenty of rain, inclement weather and loads of pollen! If you’re wondering how you can keep your car in tip-top shape this spring, we at Landers Kia have some maintenance tips for you! Follow the maintenance tips below, and you’ll take on every obstacle this spring with ease. If you need help with your service, our service department is here for you, too!

Replace Your Windshield Wipers

Springtime weather in Arkansas is pretty unpredictable. It’s completely normal to see frost on the ground in the morning, change to shorts and sandals by the afternoon and then end the day with a torrential downpour! In Arkansas, you can expect rain most days in the spring, and you definitely don’t want to get stuck on a crowded road with old windshield wipers. If your windshield wipers leave streaks or squeak as they move, it’s probably time to get them replaced. At Landers Kia, our service department can get new windshield wipers installed in no time. You can access coupons for our parts and service department here to always ensure you get the best price on your service!

Have the Air Conditioning Serviced

As we said before, it’s perfectly normal to start the day in a coat and end it laying by the pool! With the fluctuating temperatures we get in Little Rock, you’ll want to make sure your A/C and heat is working properly. Our service department at Landers Kia can inspect your system and check the hoses and connections for leaks to make sure you’ll stay comfortable all spring and summer long. Schedule your maintenance appointment for A/C inspection here.

Rotate Your Tires

Before your take off on a road trip this spring, make sure your tires are in good shape! We at Landers Kia recommend rotating your tires every 3,000-5,000 miles to prevent uneven wear and extend their use. When you schedule a tire rotation with our service department, we’ll rotate your tires and inspect your steering, suspension and brake systems. Replace Your Cabin Air Filter

Allergy season is here, and there’s nothing worse than feeling sneezy, itchy and groggy! Inside your car, your cabin air filter is working to keep the dust, pollen and other allergens out of your A/C system so you can breathe easy. We recommend getting your cabin air filter changed annually, and we can get it done in no time in our service department.

Wash and Wax Your Car to Manage Pollen

Every time you walk outside, everything is covered in a yellow, dusty film. If you don’t want to get covered in pollen every time you enter or exit your car, then we recommend washing and waxing your vehicle frequently. A strong wax or sealant repels the pollen, making it more difficult for the pollen to stick to your vehicle. At Landers Kia, we have a car wash for our customers to use that gets all of the icky, sneeze-inducing pollen off of your vehicle!

Is your car ready for spring? Our technicians in the Landers Kia Service department are here to help get your car in tip-top shape for the season. We’ll see you soon!
