Tips to Get Your Car Ready for Fall

September 22 is the first official day of fall of 2021. Autumn. The pretty season when all the leaves turn colors and drift towards the ground. The dreary season of cold rain and sludge in the gutters. The shift to sweaters and Halloween costumes. The stress of having to worry about social distancing during the holidays. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. School Traffic. Hunting season. Black Friday Shopping. Daylight savings time (Sunday, November 7). Whatever comes to mind when you think of the fall season, it is right around the corner. So, we at Landers Kia have decided to share some tips to get your car ready for fall!  

Have Weather Gear Ready!

Fall in Arkansas is hard to plan for, with it starting cold and rainy in the mornings and turning hot and humid in the afternoons. All-weather rubber floor mats are not only good to keep your floors clean of sludge from your shoes, but they can help keep those Thanksgiving sides from staining your floor as well. Although all-weather mats won’t be needed for the non-existent snow we’ll get, an ice scraper can help towards the end of fall for the December freezes. (Then once the snow hits in January or February, the all-weather mats will come in handy again.) Jumper cables and a first aid kit are an all-year-round must to keep in your car. A blanket would also help if your heating ever decides to call it quits.

Fall holds Halloween, Thanksgiving, and all the beginning of December holidays in its embrace. That’s not even including football season! There are plenty of car accessories, whether it is your team’s logo as a sticker or a Rudolph red nose on your grille, that you can decorate your car with! It is the little things that bring fall joy.
