All-Electric Kia EV6 Powers 2022 NYE Numerals

December 18th, 2021 by

The new year is just days away, and with the ups and downs of 2021, we at Landers Kia in Little Rock, Arkansas enthusiastically await each new Kia update. That includes new vehicle announcements and neat promotional events Kia hosts. These events help release information to the general public and are an easy way to share Kia’s goals. One of Kia’s goals is the increase of electric vehicles designed and launched within the next decade. The vehicles will be a combination of EVs, plug-in hybrids, and gas-electric hybrid vehicles as well. Kia has a goal of including 11 electric vehicles in its 2026 lineup, and the 2022 EV6 is one of the next steps to meeting that goal.

The New Year’s Eve Numerals, the very same ones that will be in Times Square, can be powered by the Kia EV6. Before they made their way to the New Year’s celebration, the seven-foot-tall, 1,130-pound numerals visited the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. From November 17-28, the all-electric Kia EV6 was the numerals’ power source.

The 2022 Telluride is now assisting the EV6 in showing its own capabilities by making the cross-country journey to Times Square in NYC by December 20, 2021. While the EV6 won’t be towing the numerals, leaving that to the Telluride, the EV6 will be driving right behind, along for the journey til the end.

The EV6 has an ultra-fast charging time so drivers can spend more time on the road. The 2022 EV6 has even won a Guinness World Record! The EV took the shortest charging time at seven hours and 10 minutes total as it crossed the U.S. in seven days. Read more about the journey!

While the All-Electric Kia EV6 won’t make its appearance at dealerships until early 2022, Landers Kia in Little Rock wants to share how powerful the EV6 will be once it gets here. Until then, check out the other striking new Kia vehicles on the lot.
