Kia Rebrands UVO Connect to Kia Connect

Let us at Landers Kia introduce you to Kia’s recent rebranding project: UVO Connect is now  Kia Connect. It’s an update that took that extra leap far enough that Kia Connect is more than UVO Connect. If UVO Connect had everything you needed and was capable of making your drive easier, then Kia Connect enhances every aspect of its predecessor. 

Connect to your vehicle and your journey by knowing basic information like trip data and vehicle location. Kia’s UVO service went through many revisions between 2011 and 2015 before the Kia Connect became a standard option for many trims in more recent Kia models. Here’s what to expect with the rebrand: 

• Kia Connect Live Services

Live Services bring together multiple sources to provide you with the most accurate traffic information, weather forecasts, and speed camera information. Live Services can also tell you where nearby gas and EV charging stations are, as well as their pricing. Once you get to your destination, it can also show you parking availability and parking costs. This feature of Kia Connect gives you more real-time information when you need it. 

• Accessibility 

If you are in your vehicle, Kia Connect can be accessed by using the touchscreen in the middle of the dash. This includes navigational features that can give you continuously updated journey times and possible arrival times. If you’re away from your vehicle, Kia Connect can be accessed through the app on your smartphone, or your other personal device where the app can be downloaded. The next time your car’s ignition is started, the updates you’ve made on the app will automatically transfer to the car and become available on the central touchscreen. 

• More Features

If you decide to use Kia Connect, expect more user control, traffic predictions, and preset features. If you worry about whether you’ve locked your car or not, taking a look at the Kia Connect app will soothe that worry. If you match your EV and Kia Connect, then you can check your charging status, make a charging schedule, and see how far you can go on your current charge.

Getting the Kia Connect app is as simple as downloading it on a device. Visit the Kia Connect site to find which trim of Kia Connect is best for you: Lite, Care, Plus, or Ultimate. You can also call the Kia Connect Call Center at (844) 886-9411.
