Little Rock to host Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker

Looking for an exciting opportunity with friends and family this holiday season? The Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker is coming to Little Rock on December 26 and will be putting on two performances of the legendary show!

The Great Russian Nutcracker follows the story of a townhouse filled with lively celebration on Christmas Eve, with children playing with presents while adults look on in amusement and everything seems at peace on the hallowed eve. Things quickly change pace when a traveling magician enters the house, leaving a present for the oldest child, which is quickly broken by the youngest child in a fit of jealousy. The once spellbound townhouse quite literally becomes bound by a spell after the adults head to bed, painting the scene for our ballet.

Accompanied by magnificent music, The Great Russian Nutcracker is a story many people are vaguely familiar with, having worked its way into mainstream media. Many children know a variant of the tale. What better way than to set the story straight than partaking in an evening of human accomplishment and spectacle at the Robinson Center Performance Hall ?
