Kia Stinger GT has “Best Interior,” “Best Engine” | Landers Kia

The 2018 Kia Stinger GT has one of the best interiors! Wards Auto named the fastback sport sedan to its 10 Best Interiors list for 2018 as well as its 10 Best Engines list for 2018.

The interiors list is a way to recognize vehicles with exceptional accomplishments in user-friendly technology, fit and finish, material use, ergonomics, comfort and aesthetics.

The Stinger GT has a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and it’s the first time Kia has a vehicle named to the list.

“Ushering in a dynamic new era for the Kia brand, Stinger brings dreams to reality with the perfect combination of aesthetics, comfort, ergonomics, quality and technology,” Kia Motors America Vice President of Product Planning Orth Hedrick said in a press release. “On the heels of Stinger GT being named to Wards 10 Best Engines, the 10 Best Interiors is a true honor.”

Some of the top features of the 2018 Stinger GT’s interior are:

• Multi-color LED ambient lighting

• Seating for five

• 40.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the back seats folded down

• Underfloor rear cargo storage

• Leather seat trim

• UVO3 system with seven-inch touchscreen audio display

“After we tallied the scores, the Stinger GT took its spot on our list with no debate,” WardsAuto Senior Editor Christie Schweinsberg said. “It’s interior is both elegant and athletic thanks to its high-quality leather and soft-touch materials and a just-right mix of black and red on our test car, accented my real aluminum trim. Our test car also quickly paired our smartphones, had easy-to-understand touchscreen menus, comfortable seats and good fit-and-finish.”

Each year, WardsAuto releases its list of 10 Best Interiors and 10 Best Engines. Kia has previously been a recipient of the 10 Best Interiors honor for the 2015 Sedona, 2014 Soul, 2013 Forte and 2011 Optima.
