2018 Kia Soul Is One of KBB’s 10 Coolest Cars Under $20K

The 2018 Kia Soul has a personality and funky look all of its own. The hatchback has long been the vehicle of choice for those who like to think, and drive, outside or inside the box. Kelley Blue Book is recognizing that too by naming the vehicle to its 10 Coolest Cars Under $20,000 list for the seventh year in a row.

The Kia Soul is a standout in the crowd and that’s reflected in the vehicle hitting the one-million mark in the U.S. this year.

“Soul’s fun and funky personality continues to shine as reflected by being named to Kelley Blue Book’s Coolest Cars list for the seventh consecutive year,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning for Kia Motors America. “The versatile hatchback continues to provide consumers with a fun-to-own vehicle equipped with many convenience features.”

Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com editors created the 10 Coolest Cars list 15 years ago to highlight vehicles that are “fun to drive and fun to own.” The yearly list is compiled to show that finding a powerful, spunky car for less money isn’t all that hard. To appear on the list, each of the 10 vehicles must have a starting MSRP of $20,000 or less using KBB’s exclusive Fair Purchase Price.

The 2018 Kia Soul carries on the legacy of the now-iconic urban passenger vehicles that came before it. It has the UVO2 infotainment system as well as top features like Smart Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking and HID headlights.
