Kia Candenza is Best Large Car for Families for Second Year

For the second consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has named the 2018 Kia Cadenza the Best Large Car for Families.

“Winning a Best Car for Families award for the second consecutive year demonstrates our relentless commitment to building world-class vehicles tailored to all types of consumers,” Kia’s Vice President of Product Planning said in a press release. “The Cadenza’s winning combination of high-tech safety and convenience features, spacious interior and stylish design appeals to all members of the family. Add its incredible value into the equation, and the Cadenza is hard to overlook.”

U.S. News & World Report evaluated 126 cars, SUVs and minivans that are on sale right now. There are 11 classes of vehicles covered by the awards, and the vehicle with the highest composite score in its category earned the Best Car for Families moniker. The other categories are:

• Luxury Midsize Car

• Midsize Car

• 2nd Row SUV

• 3rd Row SUV

• Compact SUV

• Large SUV

• Luxury 2nd Row SUV

• Luxury 3rd Row SUV

• Luxury Compact SUV

• Minivan

The Cadenza beat out eight other vehicles to win the Large Car category.

“Plenty of large cars can handle family duty, but none do it as well as the Kia

Cadenza,” U.S. News & World Report Managing Editor Jamie Page Deaton said. “The Cadenza’s cabin has the space for car seats, but the kind of finishes that impress adults. It also offers available features, like a surround view camera, rear sunshades, a hands-free trunk and heated rear seats that you typically find on SUVs or luxury cars.”

The 2018 Kia Cadenza has a starting price of $32,290 and additional features like Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
