Employee Profile: Russell Comstock

One of the perks of being a car salesman is becoming friends with customers. The opposite is true as well when you get to sell vehicles to your friends and neighbors. In the case of Russell Comstock, he has been able to sell his friend Eddie at least seven vehicles over the years.

“Eddie has sent his wife, son, and anybody he knows, to me to buy a car,” Comstock said. “I’ve sold him seven or eight vehicles, between him and his wife.”

Comstock enjoys working with the same people and those who have been referred to him by previous customers.

“I love selling to the friends and family of my previous customers,” he said. “Seeing the smiles on their faces and knowing they’re dealing with somebody they can trust because their family members recommended me is awesome.”

Comstock has been a car salesman for a long time and has worked for the Landers Auto Group for 15 years. He’s been at Landers Kia for a little over a year and worked at Landers Toyota, Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and the Landers Pre-Owned Center when it was still open.

“My dad was in the car business and I kind of followed in his footsteps,” Comstock said. “He’s still in the car business.”

Comstock knows that every customer has different needs and wants and what is a good deal for someone could be a bad deal for someone else.

“I want people to know if I think something is a good deal for them or not,” he said. “I’ll tell them what I think and I want people to know that I’ll work with them to earn their trust. I just enjoy helping people get into vehicles that suit their needs and fit their budget.”
