Over the last month, we’ve seen our neighbors in Texas, Louisiana and Florida suffer damage and loss because of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. We’ve seen people rally to donate money, clothing, food and personal items to those people who lost their homes, cars and even family members because of these disasters. We at Landers Kia have been able to donate time, money and things as well.

Kia Motors is doing their part to help people impacted by the hurricanes too. Kia Motors America has pledged up to $200,000 for relief efforts to the communities affected by Harvey and Irma, and Kia Motors Manufacturing George has pledged $100,000 to the American Red Cross.

“Kia is dedicated to supporting both individuals and communities in the aftermath of these historic storms, and these funds will assist the American Red Cross’ ongoing relief efforts,” President and CEO of Kia Motors America Justin Sohn said in a press release . “Our thoughts go out to those affected, and we applaud the continued efforts of relief workers around the country in this time of need.”

The money donated by Kia to the American Red Cross will help with shelter, essential supplies and food to people affected by both hurricanes.

At Landers Kia, we love selling Kia vehicles because they’re quality cars, trucks, SUVs and minivans that continue to get top quality ratings and reviews from industry leaders and customers. The fact that the car manufacturer has pledged $300,000 to help people in need makes us even more proud to sell these vehicles.
