Kia Expands NBA Partnership | Landers Kia

Kia Motors America is the official automotive partner of the National Basketball Association, and now that partnership is expanding! Get excited basketball fans, because earlier this month Kia and the NBA announced a new multiyear marketing partnership extension with the NBA, WNBA and NBA G League.

“Kia has been deeply integrated into the year-round NBA experience since becoming a partner in 2008,” NBA Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships Kerry Tatlock said in a press release. “We’re excited to continue to grow the partnership by building upon all of the engagement programs that connect Kia with the diverse fans across the league’s channels.”

This new partnership means that Kia will be an associate partner with the NBA Draft while remaining the title partner of the Kia NBA Tip-Off, Kia NBA All-Star MVP and Kia NBA Performance Awards, which include MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Man and Rookie of the Year.

In addition, Kia will recognize the top player and rookie of each conference as the title partner of the monthly Performance Awards and enhance its Top Plays platform. Fans watching games can use #KiaWhoYaGot hashtag all season long to predict the winner of important matchups on social media to win a sweepstakes.

“The partnership between the NBA and Kia has been pivotal in increasing brand and consumer awareness and an uptick in consideration of the Kia brand, and we are excited to extend our partnership ad continue connecting with the league and its passionate fans,” Kia Motors America Vice President of Marketing Communications Saad Chehab said in the same release. “Both Kia and the NBA have a broad appeal across a large segment of the consumer public and through this partnership we hope to keep Kia top-of-mind among the confident, independent NBA fans and drive them, literally to Kia’s showrooms.”
