Summer’s almost here and that means we’re taking vacation! There’s no better time than summer to take a day trip in Arkansas and no better car to take that trip in than a 2016 Kia Sedona. Keep reading for Big Steve’s top 7 Summer Day Trip Spots in Arkansas!

1. Hot Springs

Hot Springs is only about an hour from Little Rock by car, and it deserves a day of exploring. Downtown Hot Springs is littered with eateries, shops and historic attractions like Bathhouse Row and the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa. Plus there’s Magic Springs, Oaklawn Racing & Gaming and we’re pretty sure there aren’t a lot of cities with an aligator petting zoo.

2. Fayetteville

Fayetteville is a college town with great nightlife. But if you’re going in the day, be prepared to let out your inner foodie and to fill the cargo area of your Sedona with shopping bags.

3. Eureka Springs

A solid 3 1/2 hour drive northwest of Little Rock, your passengers will make use of the reclining scone-row seats in the Sedona for this trip. Eureka springs is a charming little town with quirky shops and tons of music and art, a haunted hotel and even hobbit holes.

4. Jasper

There’s not much to do within the limits of this tiny town. The draw here is what lies just outside of town: the Buffalo National River, Hawksbill Crag and tons of natural beauty. Explore the land with your all-wheel-drive Sedona and you’ll have a blast.

5. Murfreesboro

If you haven’t been to the diamond mine in Murfreesboro to pan for carbon, you’ve got to make the two-hour drive in your Sedona to try it. Murfreesboro’s other draw to town is the Ka-do-ha Indian Village where you can learn about Native American culture and local history.

6. El Dorado

El Dorado is south of Little Rock and it’s roots are as an oil boomtown. Those roots can still be seen all over the city and it’s worth a trip to explore and hang out at any one of its 10 parks.

7. Fort Smith

Forth Smith is Arkansas’s second-largest city with a unique downtown and plenty of great shopping to fill your Sedona with even more bags to take home.
