Like most people, we’re attached to our smartphones. So, why not use our phones to make driving a vehicle a little more convenient? We’ve pulled together a list of Big Steve’s favorite smartphone applications to make your ride a little better. Even if your vehicle is equipped the latest tech, the following apps can be super useful!

* GASBUDDY *

This app finds gas stations with the cheapest gas near you. The platform has over 60 million users who update the app with gas prices near them. Allow the app to use your location or punch in your city, state or zip code and a list of gas station locations with prices will pop up.

* GOOGLE MAPS *

Sure, you can use the navigation app that comes pre-installed on your phone, but we suggest downloading Google Maps and making it your primary nav tool. Google Maps offers realtime traffic updates, adding detours along the way to your destination and it tells you which lane you need to take to make a turn or stay on the route. Plus, Google Maps allows you to search for gas stations, coffee shops, restaurants and local businesses.

* FIND MY CAR *

How many times have you parked in a garage downtown or a huge lot and couldn’t remember what level or aisle you left your car? Find My Car allows you to save your parking spot by using GPS. The app allows you to set a timer with push notifications if you fed the meter and has other great features.

* ICARMODE *

If you don’t have a touch screen, iCarMode can help you by turning your dashboard-mounted phone into a simple display with big buttons. It offers an integrated music player and can access your contacts to place phone calls as well as allows custom app shortcuts for Audible, Spotify and others.

Do you use an app that didn’t make our list? Let us know what it is!
