Landers Lunches
According to Feeding America, Arkansas ranks fourth highest in the nation for child food insecurity and more than 162,000 children in Arkansas are at risk of hunger. That’s nearly one in three children that experience food hardship. During the school year, many students rely on free and reduced meals and after-school programs to stay full. What about when school is out for the summer?
We at the Landers Auto Group have launched Landers Lunches as a part of our Do Good Feel Good initiative to ensure our students in Central Arkansas get the food they need to grow and thrive.
This summer, we’ll provide meals to children in the Little Rock School District and Pulaski Country Special School district through our donations to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance and No Kid Hungry. The Arkansas No Kid Hungry campaign connects children to federal food and nutrition programs including National School breakfast, Summer Meals and Afterschool meal programs. For every $25 donated, we can provide 125 meals for children in Central Arkansas. With our donation, we will give 75,000 meals this summer. Help us feed even more children in Arkansas with your gift!
