Let’s discuss the exterior
The 2023 Kia Sportage has all-wheel drive. The Turbo hybrid engine will deliver 226 horsepower and has a target of 39 MPG combined fuel efficiency. This hybrid may look sleek with its new front and rear angled design, but it’s functional too. Each new design enhances its ability to be ready to drive through any weather. Once you’ve decided on where you are going, it’s time to pack. With the 2023 Sportage, the liftgate has a hands-free option that relies on your key being near the back cargo area to open the Smart Power Liftgate.
Let’s discuss the interior
General
The cargo space is a big thing. Once you’ve used the hands-free liftgate, you’ll notice the 39.6 cu.-ft. of space for you to use. While this space won’t fit something like a Grand Piano, you could fit about seven microwaves in the cargo area with enough room to pack in a small duffle bag too.
The Sportage design focuses on giving each passenger enough room so as not to encroach on each other’s space. With 41.3-inches of second-row legroom, your passengers will have plenty of space to stretch out.
Technology & Safety Features
Once your Sportage is packed and utilizing all available cargo space, it’s time to get your trip started. The display system helps ease navigation and provides entertainment with dual 12.3-inch panoramic displays. The screen in front of the wheel that holds your speedometer and vehicle information connects to the screen in the middle of the dash that connects to your phone. On these screens you’ll have access to the 360 Surround-View Monitor and the Blind-Spot Monitor. The Blind Spot Monitor pairs well with the available Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist safety feature. Other optional safety features for the Sportage are Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Lane Following Assist, Safe Exit Assist, and Parking Distance Warning in Reverse.
The 2023 Sportage will also come with a Rear occupant alert. This alert will help keep your children, whether human or canine, safe by sensing their movement and reminding you to get them out of the car with you.
