These last two features were added to prevent the vehicle from spinning out of control in tricky situations.
Rio 5-Door Hatchback
While the 2022 Rio has plenty of legroom and plenty of cargo space, the 5-Door adds even more with its hatchback nature. To add to the hatchback cargo space, the second row folds down into a 60/40 split. The hatchback provides the 5-Door with a larger rear window. The five-door design was added to prevent unnecessary headbanging. The hatchback is there to make packing and unloading easier and safer. The 5-Door remote keyless entry access also comes with a trunk opener. Opposed to the 2022 Rio sedan’s two trims, the 5-Door only has one trim available; however, that trim does have its own variations, with a package that adds any available features to your hatchback as customization.
