The new 2021 Kia Niro EV is powered by a state-of-the-art 64 kWh battery and 201-horsepower electric motor. The powertrain offers four drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sport and Eco+ – so you can control your ride and efficiency. These drive modes automatically adjust regenerative braking level and air conditioning settings and set speed limits to help manage operating efficiency. How long does it take to charge the Kia Niro EV? With the standard Combined Charging System (CCS) DC fast-charge, the Niro EV can charge approximately 100 miles in 30 minutes or 80 percent battery capacity in just 75 minutes.

While there is no engine purr, the 2021 Niro EV has a futuristic whirring sound when it’s running to alert other drivers and pedestrians.
