The all-new 2021 Kia K5 has a starting price of $23,490 and is available in four trim levels: LX, LXS, GT-Line, EX. An adrenaline-fueled GT trim level is set to arrive this fall.
Two powerful powertrain options are offered on the K5. The standard 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine produces 180 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The available 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine produces 290 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with the 2.5-liter turbo engine, the available eight-speed Quick Shift DCT Automatic Transmission offers fast and precise gear shifts for an exciting driving experience. The 1.6-liter engine is offered with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission.
The foundation of the K5’s thrilling new personality is built on the new, third-generation N3 platform. This platform allows the K5 to sit longer, lower and wider compared to the Optima. This gives the K5 an aggressive new profile and an optimized center of gravity for a more exciting ride.
