The all-new Kia K5 has a starting price of $23,490 and is available in five trim levels: LX, LXS, GT-Line, EX and GT. Choose from two powertrain options: the standard 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo or the available 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo. The standard 1.6-liter engine produces 180 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine produces 290 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque and is paired with the available eight-speed Quick Shift DCT Automatic Transmission. Available all-wheel drive provides exceptional all-weather capability by actively distributing torque between the front and rear wheels. Plus, it’s the first Kia to have the “snow” drive mode that provides extra security in winter weather conditions!
The new K5 is built on an entirely-new foundation: the third-generation N3 platform. This platform allows the K5 to sit lower and wider compared to its predecessor, the Optima. This gives the K5 an aggressive new profile and an optimized center of gravity for an enhanced driving experience. Constructed from sound-deadening materials, the new N3 platform also provides a quieter cabin for a better listening experience!
The old, athletic appearance of the 2021 K5 is based off of the sporty Kia Stinger. The most prominent feature of the K5 is the new grille with a thin, wide profile extending into the headlight and hood structure. Choose from eight eye-catching exterior colors: Glacial White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Sapphire Blue, Ebony Black, Everlasting Silver, Passion Red and Crystal Beige.
